ROKBOX Lite

ROKBOX Original is a fantastic solution for shipping artwork internationally, and industry feedback suggested that a complimentary product for storage and short transits would be equally beneficial for fine art shippers. ROKBOX engaged Glenelg to develop a new crate with a focus on weight and recyclability, whilst retaining the innovative ease of use and security of the existing product.

The result, ROKBOX Lite, is a lightweight, weatherproof, secure and completely recyclable crate. ROKBOX Lite is currently available in two sizes and can be utilised as a standalone product or in combination with ROKBOX Original for maximum artwork protection.

The crate is based around an innovative, shockproof EPP frame, with rigidity provided by a ‘honeycomb’ base and lid. An internal velour lining allows the unique ‘hook and loop’ fixing system to secure artwork in place. Glenelg partnered with manufacturers across the EU to facilitate production and assembly of the Lite crate.

ROKBOX Lite is 100% recyclable without requiring disassembly as all components are PP based. This, along with the lightweight design, provides a formidable environmental proposition when compared to the carbon footprint of bespoke wooden crates. Many shippers are now combining ROKBOX Original and ROKBOX Lite crates as a flexible solution to cover their shipping and storage needs.
