Glenelg were tasked with creating a solution to counteract the threat of ‘lock snapping’ in French Doors and Conservatories. The result: ‘Patlock’, a simple, elegant design that is recommended by Police Forces and Crime Prevention organisations UK wide.

Utilising our contacts in China we were able to facilitate manufacturing of the initial batch of product and have since overseen production scale-up due to increased customer demand. Patlock’s popularity has been driven by recognition on national TV shows including ‘Break in Britain’ and ‘Dragons Den’.

Glenelg continue to collaborate with the Patlock team and have developed a fully patented, integrated solution that eliminates ‘lock snapping’ as a weakness inherent in the design of French Door handles.

When I saw Patlock I immediately saw its potential. Patio doors enhance our homes but can be a boon for burglars, often they are the entrance of choice for thieves. Patlock is not only a police approved product that makes a door harder to break – it is a visible deterrent.
