Glenelg Product Design are industrial design consultants based in West Yorkshire.
Established in 1990, Glenelg Product Design through their team of packaging designers has developed a successful working partnerships with a range of prestigious UK and International clients including Boots, ICI, GHD and of course AGI Amaray and AGI Media (now part of the MeadWestvaco Corporation).
We have been working with Amaray for over 15 years and Glenelg Product Design was originally involved in a range of video and audio cassette designs as well as third party products for Boots in both hair care and medical.
Our experienced team of packaging designers have worked in the development of the highly successful Amaray CD safe Button, shortly after the box followed. These two products were established very much as the world standard. The range of Amaray buttons and boxes have been developed over the years through a very close working relationship between the partners and packaging designers at Glenelg and the Clients at Amaray.

Innovative Concept Generation Usually in the form of initial sketch proposals alongside detailed colour renderings to show form, mechanisms, colour etc. Glenelgs aim is always to approach a design problem or brief with Innovative thinking.
Concept Development
Detailed development of chosen concept usually sees the design through to a fully detailed full colour rendering of the final design.
Full Colour Photo Realistic Presentations
Where promotional images are required for client presentations and meetings Glenelg are able to render products in chosen environments.
Presentation Modelling
Usually through stereo lithography Glenelg are able to offer working presentation models of the chosen design. Close links with local companies often allows for next day delivery on components.
Rapid Prototyping
Where more than one presentation model is required, again Glenelg work closely with local companies to supply silicone tooling and multiple Vac Cast replicas in chosen material and colour.
Product Testing
Glenelg have, through existing clients been involved in the testing of a range of product functions. for mead this has involved high pressure testing of Wide and 28mm containers. Other projects have involved airflow, heat transfer, and static electricity testing.
3D CAD
Detailed 3D CAD is supplied for the manufacture of required tooling.
Product Manufacture
Where client has no experience or no wish to manufacture products in house Glenelg have been able to arrange for the manufacture and supply of finished product direct to the client or their customer.
Project Management
Glenelg Product Design in West Yorkshire are often called upon to manage the design and development stage of the products for our clients. This can involve the arranging of quotations, dealing with toolmakers, printers, deliveries etc in the UK. At Glenelg we offer the complete package.
